How to Conquer the Cake

Most people, majority being women, tend to struggle with their loss weight fast goals due to one enemy: chocolate cake. Chocolate cake has been an enemy of weight loss since the invention of chocolate cake. Bottom line, there is absolutely nothing healthy about chocolate cake. One piece usually contains 420 calories, 67 grams of carbohydrates, and a hefty 23 grams of fat. To add insult to injury, your friend eats it stays lean. But when you eat it, it seems to go straight to your buttocks or thighs as if that is the only part of your body that is available. When people are learning how to lose weight, they usually beat themselves up about issues such as chocolate cake and the effects it brings. You either begin to think that your friend works out more or have a better diet, but the situation may be that your friend has a biological advantage.

The reality of learning how to lose weight is insulin. You have some people that secrete less than others, those individuals that secrete more insulin tend to store more calories as fat, and as a result, they become bigger. Genes play a vital role in how you secret insulin and how your body responds to insulin output. This response affects how much fat you store and how much fat you burn. But do not be mistaken, diets that work play a vital role in weight loss. You cannot blame every pound you gain on genetics.

The “fat genes” activity is based off the type of foods that we eat. Foods that make these genes active are carbohydrate-rich foods. Some of us do not get fat when we eat carbohydrates, but for those who do, carbohydrates are usually to blame. This reason why is because majority of obese people are eating the wrong carbohydrates. These are known as refined carbohydrates. These include starchy foods such as french fries, white bread, pasta, desserts, and sodas. These foods cause more insulin to circulate in your body. As a result, the more insulin you secrete, the chances are that your tissues and cells will become resistant to insulin. The pancreas begins to overcompensate by dishing out more insulin, and the result is a vicious fat cycle.

Unfortunately, learning how to lose weight and lose weight fast can be a little harder as you get older. Insulin sensitivity changes with time, your diet, and your lifestyle. If you are eating refined carbohydrates and fattening sugars, there is a great chance you will become insulin resistant as you age and the result is significant weight gain. The reality of the situation is our muscles become more resistant to insulin as we become older. Therefore, more of the energy we consume turns in fat and our cells now generate less energy. The slowing of our metabolism is a result of insulin resistance. Therefore, you do not get fat because your metabolism slows down, your metabolism slows down because you are getting fatter.
